Merry Christmas! Well, nearly.....

Despite the glorious weather over the last few weeks, thoughts here at the Heifer have turned to turkeys, Christmas crackers and mulled wine!

While many have spent the past few weekends enjoying barbecues, topping up tans and generally enjoying the sunshine, the team have been conjuring up festive thoughts while creating their Christmas menu options.

Owner Lewis Moss explained: “There’s only 28 weeks to go until the big day and we know people like to get organised well in advance. It’s one of our favourite times of year here and we like to make everyone’s Christmas as special as possible.

“We’ve already chosen this year’s Christmas teddy, which is always one of the best-received festive treats we offer guests so it’s important to get it just right. We’re getting into the swing of things by setting our festive menu too - it’s never too early to start thinking about turkey!”

Christmas is so popular at The Heifer that they extend their festive offerings throughout the month of December allowing guests to enjoy the sparkle all month, not just on the 25th.

Guests staying between December 1st and 23rd can choose to opt for a Christmas Room which sees the hotel’s Champagne Room, Black Sheep and Wensleydale Junior Suites all decked out with a Christmas tree and decorations, stocking, teddy and giant cracker.

When they arrive, guests can enjoy warm mince pies and mulled wine followed by a splendid festive feast in the shape of a six-course tasting menu, before retiring to their rooms to enjoy a range of classic Christmas DVDs.  

Lewis added: “We love creating the best possible environment for our guests to enjoy their stay and Christmas is a great time to go that extra mile and make things just that bit extra-special.”
